  4. There are so many reasons why you should learn 3D animation. • A great way to get started here are some of the most important reasons to get up to speed in 3D animation.

  5. 5 Best Reasons Why You Should Learn 3D Animation

  6. Illustration • There are many excellent ways of doing illustration work. But as the years have moved on, 3D animation tools have begun to take over large swathes of the illustrative business. • There are many excellent reasons: the photo-realistic qualities of the effects are outstanding, but also the ability to do your work and make client changes without killing other days.

  7. Any 3D animation can be pushed into service for illustrative work. Maya is famous, although surely overkill for the job. • The open-source Blender software could be an ideal and powerful tool for this work.

  8. Animation • Like illustration work, animation existed years before 3D showed up. • Celanimation is still in use today in animation. • But for the most part, all the major shops have moved over to 3D production, so if you want an animation that is mostly the way to go.

  9. Most 3D applications include at least some animation abilities and many have extensive software tools. The choice is to depend on your needs.

  10. Pre-Visual • Generally, the pre-visuals term is used in the film industry. This is a twilight zone of production in between the storyboards and in shooting the film. • The bigger production companies have entire pre-visual departments with very talented folks that use generous amounts of 2D and 3D animation to bring the story live.

  11. Animaticswould be considered the low end of the art and the high end can sometimes look like finished production. • Every time you may see an ad on TV that is little changes and weeks later you notice it was replaced. • Odds are you saw the commercial's pre-visual first because the final wasn't complete in time for already purchased timeslots.

  12. Special Effect • We all know that what this is and so much of it is created in 3D animation. • As the years have worked on more and more of the pedestrian effects can be done convincingly in 2D animation, say in After Effects with exotic plug-in. • But 3D animation still leads the way here and is continually breaking new space.

  13. Maya, Houdini and 3ds Max are known for their effects capabilities, but many companies have used others like Lightwave, Cinema4D and Electricimage.

  14. Game design • There is a casual 2D-type game design. • But you wouldn't want to go into a field knowing you have an advancement cap from the start. • Learn 3D animation and you will undoubtedly need it here if doing animation or art. 3ds Max and Maya are leaders in this category, but others are also used.
