In After Effects Software, it is an important aspect of motion graphics because you are going to want to render out graphics elements to use in a video editing app. • With transparency, you can drag and drop the graphics files on top of your video tracks. • Let’s take a look at how to make happen in after effects software.
Video files are made up of red, green and blue channels. • There is a fourth Alpha Channel, but only certain video codecs can include an alpha. • To add a sequence to the Render Queue in after effect software by default it will not include an alpha channel. • It means your graphics will lack any transparency information in the final file. • So how do we properly handle this thing in after effects?
Let's figure out how to view transparency data inside the After Effects software. • As with the exported files, After Effects by default does not show the transparency in the composition panel. • Instead, see the background color of the composition.
For changing the color • Go to Composition > Composition Settings. • To instantly view the transparency in After effects software, click on the Toggle Transparency button at the bottom of the composition panel. • If you want to view individual channels, you will also find a show channel button to the left.
