  2. Proposed workshop • The Group recognised the importance of capacity building with countries in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA) • including the organization of annual workshops • preparation of implementation manuals/guides

  3. Abatement technology seminar • The Group should consider holding a seminar in Russian and English, possibly in 2006/7, on NH3 inventories and abatement techniques in the region • the Secretariat will explore possibilities for a seminar on technologies in 2006 in English and Russian (ECE/EB.AIR/83/Add.2 24 Jan 2005).

  4. Content of seminar • Local studies of NH3 emissions and abatement • transfereability of data from maritime to continental Europe • farming systems in EECCA countries • activity data

  5. Content of seminar • To promote the use of the Framework Advisory Code of Good Agricultural Practice for Reducing Ammonia Emissions • continue work towards improving the quality of NH3 emission inventories and projections from both agricultural and non-agricultural sources
