  3. 1. Revisit Software Patch • SPP reviewed Software bug that caused the August 19, 2005 reservation issue. • SPP was satisfied that problem was resolved and will not occur in future. • No further recommendations

  4. 2. Assumptions for the AFC Manual • First update for the AFC manual Includes: • Operating, Planning, and Study Horizon modeling assumptions stated in the AFC Audit report. • Base flow assumptions for modeling inputs • Explanation for the differences between the OASIS outage postings and the outages found in the posted models. • AFC Manual Updates will be an on going process.

  5. 3. Further Automation of the TSR Process • AREVA updates to insure correct processing of TSRs • Manual QC check is currently being used • Updates received 7/14/06 for implementation by 8/1/06 • During testing problems were found delaying implementation • Entergy is waiting for AREVA’s review and date for receiving fix

  6. 4. QC Process Enhancements with Remedy • Entergy has converted from HRM, used for trouble shooting tickets, to Remedy, a true change management software. • Remedy: • Has role based access allowing authorized users to approve/deny work request. • Provides a more controlled environment with proper electronic approvals and task sequencing

  7. 5. Data Exchange with 1st Tier Areas • Processes and enhancement updates to processes for the exchange of data with neighboring entities and coordination with first tier control areas

  8. 6. Base Case Overloads • Base case overloads have not been addressed due to the LPSC docket on base case overloads. • Offline action item to determine the time requirement for an engineer to run a redispatch on a monthly model to alleviate base case overloads. • Powerworld optimal powerflow analysis tool to run a redispatch. • Inserted Gen date such as cost and heat rate info. • Setup flowgates • DC Approximation to solve • Analysis did not alleviate all base case overloads

  9. 7. Last Good Solution Method • Entergy has performed a proof of concept of design for new enhancements and rules and presented it to the Stakeholders. • Entergy also developed a functional design document to implement an application to monitor and notify the Powerflow solution of RFCALC. • The work on the application has been delayed due to the lead developer along with several other developers leaving the company. • Entergy is working on resources and will provide an assessment on expected implementation.

  10. 8. OASIS Posting Enhancements • Subsystem files coincident to operating/planning horizons models • Outage postings. • Newly proposed additions to the list: • Dating Participation Factor files for tracking purposes • Posting of a translation table that matches all names and IDs in models.

  11. 9. Over Generation • Has not been an issue • Input?

  12. 10. Negative Generation • Long term resolution • Entergy working on final design document for AREVA • Need input from all Stakeholders • Written comments needed • Short term resolution • New developments will be discussed as one of the main meeting topics on todays agenda
