  1. Hernia: Causes, Types and Treatment What is Hernia: basic Information? A hernia takes place when an organ pushes through an opening in the muscle or tissue, which holds it's a place. We can understand it; by example, that intestine may break through a weakened area at abdominal wall. Abdomen Hernias are common, but they can appear at upper thigh, belly button and groin areas. Most of the hernias are not life-threatening and do not require an emergency surgical procedure, but do not go away on their own. The patient may require surgery to prevent future complications. Why Hernia occurs A hernia may occur because of a combination of muscle weakness and strain. It depends on its causes; a hernia may develop quickly or may also take a long time. Common causes of muscle weakness include as age, chronic coughing, damage from injury or surgery or congenital defect. Most Common Hernia types Inguinal Hernia Inguinal Hernias are the most common type of Hernia; according to the British Hernia Centre (BHC), it has almost 70 per cent of all hernias. These hernias occur when the intestines push through a weak spot or tear in the lower abdominal wall, often in the inguinal canal. The inguinal canal locates in the groin area.

  2. Hiatal Hernia Hiatal Hernia occurs when some part of the stomach protrudes up through the diaphragm into your chest activity. The diaphragm is a sheet of muscle, which helps to breathe by drawing air in the lungs. The diaphragm separates the organ in your abdomen from those in your chest. Hiatal Hernia is common in older people but found in children also. Umbilical Hernia Umbilical Hernia may occur in children and babies under the age of 6 months. It happens when the intestine bulge through their abdominal wall near their bellybutton. This Hernia, goes away by its own, as the abdominal wall become strong with time; if it does not happen, surgery may be used to correct it. Incisional Hernia This type of Hernias can occur after your abdominal surgery. Intestines may push through the incision scar or the surrounding, weakened tissue.
