Germans and the Turkish • The upper class Germans are trying to “protect” their children from the influence of the Turkish culture • Schools are isolating the German and Turkish students but the Turks return to a place where they have no cultural competencies in common • These competencies form the basis of a successful society and functioning economy in the world of glabalization

  8. Turkish Culture (in Germany) • One piece of the Turks that have been openly welcomed in Germany is the doner kabob • It’s the “fast food” of the Turkish and has been popularized to the point that it’s the most popular German Fast food
