  4. Human & Physical Features Did you know that in Ivory Coast only 11 people out of 1,000 have cars? In addition to that, there are many other astonishing facts about Ivory Coast. There are only 12 doctors for every 100,000 people but the U.S. has 256. Also, the literacy rate is 49%, the U.S. literacy rate is 86%. The life expectancy is 48.3 years whereas the U.S.life expectancy is 78.2 years. In conclusion, Ivory Coast is developing but will hopefully get better and better at running their country in the future.

  5. Flag Did you know that Ivory Coast’s flag was based off of the French flag? In addition, there are many other interesting facts about Ivory Coast’s flag, such as the colors. Orange is the color of land, white stands for peace, and green stands for hope and a better future. Also, it was made on december 4th 1959. They gained independence shortly afterwards, August 7th 1960. Above all, it is an amazing flag with history all throughout itself.

  7. Religion Did you know that 2 billion people around the world practice Christianity? Ivory Coast is a part of that too, as well as the 100,000 people in the world that practice Islam. Also in Ivory Coast, 38.6% of the population practice Islam and 32.8% of it practice Christianity. In addition to that, 11.9% practice the indigenous religion and 16.7% don’t practice a religion. Islam was founded by Muhammad and Christianity was founded by Jesus Christ. In conclusion, Ivory Coast has some interesting religions that bind them with other people who practice the same around the world.

  9. Animals,Plants,& Natural Resources Did you know that the leopard lives in Ivory Coast? There are many other interesting animals in Ivory Coast too, for example, the pygmy hippo. The pygmy hippo is native to swamps and is nocturnal. Also, the Diana monkey can live up to 20 years and resembles the goddess Diana. In addition to animals, there are also many plants. The Alafia barteri is 35 meters long and 3 cm thick. Also, a Baissea has yellow flowers and grows in forests. A natural resource there includes petroleum. It is mined there, along with diamonds, and iron ore. In conclusion, The animals and plants are extraordinary along with some very useful resources.
