Periods #3, 5, 8 Room #603 Length: Year : Credits: 5 : Grade Level: 9, 10, 11, 12 Prerequisite: None Computer Applications is a year-long course which utilizes Microsoft Office 2007 as its basis. Students will gain confidence in using Word 2007, Publisher 2007, PowerPoint 2007 and the new features that have been added to Office 2007. The edition of Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 will also be introduced. Through the use of Adobe, students will use digital cameras and scanners to enhance the preparation of documents. Students will also learn basics of web design through HTML programming as well as program assisted web design. Students planning to attend college should strongly consider enrolling in this course as its content parallels introductory computer courses that many students must complete during their collegiate education. Objective: Students will be able to practice new Word skills learned by listening to the lecture, viewing through the LanSchool, and completing the hands-on exercises. Class work to be completed: (1) Read page 11 aloud. Complete steps in the text to insert text into a document. (2) Read page 12 aloud. Complete steps in the text to wrap and select text into a document. (3) Read page 13 aloud. Complete steps in the text to correct spelling errors into a document. (4) Read page 14 aloud. Complete steps in the text to delete text into a document. (5) Read page 15 aloud. Complete steps in the text to undo and redo text into a document
