  2. Bulla- a container used as a recording source. The item has to be sealed within the container while the clay is still wet.

  5. An ancient jar that was used for holding water. If you look closely there are handles which were used to hold a cover on.

  6. In Mesopotamians early Dynastic Period statuettes were placed at sanctuaries as votive offerings.

  7. Striding Lion Striding Lion was made of molded brick with polychrome glaze.This was found in the ancient lands of Babylon.

  8. These were found in the Shara Temple. People often refer to it as Cups Held By Man and Animals.

  9. Four Faced Goddess This statue is said to represent the goddess of rainstorms.

  10. Four Faced God He is supposedly called the God of the Four Winds.

  11. Banquet Plaque There are three different rows of people doing various activities. The bottom row has people playing instruments. The middle row is preparing food. Finally the top row shows servants offering food to someone of high power.

  12. FOUNDATION FIGURINE OF KING UR-NAMMU This figurine was found under a temple in the Iraqi area of Mesopotamia.

  13. Pazuzu Demon The Panzuzu Demon was known as “King of the evil winged demons.”

  14. Duck Weight Duck Weights were used by the Mesopotamians to exchange goods. There would be penalties for people who used false weights.
