  2. 理論重點 • Roe 關心個人職業行為與其遺傳及早期經驗之間的關係 • Murphy's (1947) concept of canalization of psychic energy and the relationship between early childhood experiences and vocational behavior. • Maslow's (1954) "need" theory. • Genetic influence.

  3. 理論中的三項假設 • Needs that are routinely satisfied do not become unconscious motivators. • The need, self-actualization, will disapper entirely if it is only rarely satisfied. The lower-oeder needs will become dominated and block the appearance of the higher-order needs. • Needs that are satisfied after unusual delay will become unconscious motivators under certain conditions.

  4. 父母管教子女之方式 • 三種不同的管教方式 • 注意力過於集中子女身上：過度保護或過度嚴厲 • 逃避子女：忽略子女或拒絕子女之要求 • 接納子女 • 父母管教方式與子女日後的行為表現及人格的形成是有關聯的

  7. 早期經驗、心理需求、與成人行為之間的關係 舉例而言 • 在服務業領域的工作者，其人格特質教偏向於人際取向，其幼時生長的環境亦多半屬溫暖或過度保護 • 科學家，其家長態度較偏向於冷漠或拒絕之態度

  8. 工作世界的分類 • Roe並將職業領域分為八大類及六個等級 • 八大類：Service, Business, Organization, Technology, Outdoor, Science, General culture, and Arts and entertainment. • 六個等級：Professional and managerial I, Professional and managerial II, Semi-professional, Small-business skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled. • 等級的劃分是依照困難程度及責任水準為標準

  9. 相關研究 • 在職業分類系統方面 • 八大類職業之間的關係可形成一圓形，其順序為第 1,8,2,3,4,5,6 以及 7. • 在親子關係方面 • PCR 的信、效度在美國均能得到支持。 • 在親子關係與職業選擇之間的關係方面 • The degree of person orientation in later life is positively related to the amount of love and attention received in childhood. Orientation toward or from people is a distinguishing factor in a person's choice of vocation.

  11. 家庭圖的繪製 • 在每個家庭裡，都有其不同的賴以維生的職業生涯。為人子女，生涯的發展也難免受家人的影響。畫畫看，從自己往上推三代，你的家人親戚從事哪些行業？男生用□代表，女生用○代表。請在圖上記載他們的年齡、教育程度、以及職業。再回答下列相關的問題。

  13. 家庭圖的繪製(續) • 藉由這家庭職業族譜的分析，我看到家人在職業發展方面，似乎有個型態出現？ • 我的職業方向，有可能與家中這些成員的某些職業是一樣或類似的？ • 這樣的分析，讓我看出了家庭成員職業對我的職業行為的影響？ • 哪些成員的職業觀念對我有重要的影響，是如何的影響？(有可能是反面的) • 我本身的哪些興趣、性向、或職業價值觀念是得自於家人的？ • 家人對我有些什麼期待？我能順著這些期待走？真是如此，我覺得……

  14. 我的家族樹 • 家庭的發展，就像一棵樹的成長一般，請畫一棵大樹，在樹根、樹枝、或樹葉旁寫下你的家人稱謂、教育程度、以及他/她所從事的職業。 • 說說看這些職業有哪些相似之處？ • 這些職業所需具備的能力，和你現在的學習活動(領域)有何關係？ • 這些家庭成員的職業對你的生涯發展現況或未來有何影響？ • 家人對你的未來又有何期待？ • 你在這棵樹的哪個地方？可能的職業發展會是什麼？
