  2. in the school we have many special classrooms with quite modern equipment • there are also two gyms and a courtyard with basketball court but there isn‘t a canteen • students of our school can attend the canteen of the neighbouring secondary school or the canteen of primary school • students of the Grammar school of Vysoké Mýto often perfectly represent our school in scientific, historical, logical and sports competitions • our high school was founded in 1879 • Václav Hospodka was the first director • currently the school has three hundred twenty-seven students and twenty-nine teachers • two of teachers are externs (French conversation with a native speaker and art with a real sculptress)

  3. STUDENT ELECTIONS • students‘ early parliamentary elections • this year, the school held its first student elections • Students of ‘‘septima‘‘ organized our elections

  4. AMAVET • if your project gets excellent, you can win an internship in Paris or Moscow or even in America • AMAVET is an event for all young scientists and engineers • Our school has participated in this competition many times, thanks to the physics teacher Alena Pecinová • Amavet was founded on 4th January 1990 in order to develop the scientific leisure activities of children and youth in the Czech Republic

  5. OTMAR • Otmar is school magazine, led by the third-year students • editorial staff includes students from different classes • Otmar won the competition „Magazine of the Year 2013“

  6. CORNY CUP • Each year, the students of higher grammar school, participate in a nationwide competition – „High School athletic Cup Corny“ • The teams of boys and girls compete separately, each team has ten members • Our girls‘ team advanced to the national finals in Breclav this year and also the previous year • Zdeňka Seidlová was a member of our team – she is a 16-year-old representant of the Czech Republic • Last year, the girls‘ team was 7th and this year the 8th in the Czech Republic • boys advanced to the regional competition but didn‘t get to the higher or to the republic finale photo with Barbora Špotáková Zdenča Seidlová 60m

  7. TOURS • Every year, language teachers organize tours around Europe • France • England • Austria • Germany • Netherlands • Norway • …
