This report details the progress of the bucket eradication initiative in Northern Cape as of October 10, 2007. A total of 6,846 buckets remain, with funding allocated at R65.2 million. Out of 19 municipalities, only one municipality has reported that their bucket eradication target for 2007 will not be met. Hands-on support is being provided to local municipalities by Siyenza Manje, DBSA, DPLG, and DWAF for special interventions. Collaborative efforts between DHLG and DWAF continue to ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of the program.
