Very litle is known about quality of EM provision, and has not been explicitly addressed Research Problem Purpose Statement To study what are the quality of EM services in Lao PDR. Research During Residency_______________________________ • Train residents to appreciate research, efforts, critically evaluate a study • Study design, methodology, statistics • Exposure to opportunities for an academic career • Some may decide to do research fellowships and pursue academic medicine
