Agenda -Delineating Ages “A Happy Childhood” by William Matthews http://www.poetryfoundation.org/poem/171620 -Age Poetry: Select 5 different ages that span the stages of life. Attach common words / images associated with that age in unconventional ways to play with common associations with age.

The sixth age shiftsInto the lean and slipper'dpantaloon,With spectacles on nose, and pouch on side;His youthful hose well sav'd, a worl too wideFor his shrunk shanks; and his big manly voice,Turning again towards childish treble, pipesAd whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,That ends his strange eventful history,Is second childishness, and mere oblivion:Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.
