  2. What is the purpose of the catholic church • The church helps us to know Jesus, and to make him known to others.

  3. Why is the Bible important in the catholic church • The bible (Scripture) is one important way that we can come to know Jesus and the story of God’s people.

  4. What did St.Francis Xavier do to help the church • He was born in span, more than four hundred years ago. He worked hard in India and Japan and he wanted to go to China but he died before he reched that land.

  5. What are three interesting facts about the church • The word church comes from a Greek word ecclesia meaning the assembly or family of the lord.
