  6. June Meeting “UPS Facility Tour” We have arranged for a tour of the UPS facility in Maple Grove. This facility is considered a “Beta” test facility by UPS and involves new processes and operations that, if proven successful, will be implemented at other UPS facilities around the country. Mr. Ken Edmonds, the Plant Engineering Manager, will explain the program behind the test and then take us on a guided tour of the whole operation. As usual, pizza and a social time will precede the presentation. This year, the International Symposium (IS 2008) is in the Netherlands, and since travel has become very expensive, fewer people are going. As in 2007, we have decided to hold a regular meeting during the month of the IS. SO, come to a special and most interesting event here at home! Look for the email flyer soon and then plan on joining us!

  7. July Meeting “Summer Social and INCOSE Symposium Debrief” We have reserved the “Excellabella”, a 50-person private yacht operated by the BayView Event Center on Lake Minnetonka. The boat can be fully enclosed so, even in the event of rain (never in a Minnesota summer!), we can have a great time. The price per person of $45 includes a three-hour evening cruise on Lake Minnetonka and full buffet dinner with choice of two entrees. A pay-as-you-go bar will also be provided. Look for the email flyer and sign up instructions soon!

  8. Attendance • Why sign in? • For the past several years we have had the chapter incentive program to encourage attendance at our meetings. We will continue offering an incentive. • For guests or members attending for the first time, this also insures your notification by email of all subsequent events. • SO - BE SURE AND SIGN THE ATTENDANCE LIST! • PLEASE WRITE SO WE CAN READ IT!!
