  1. Robert Frost is asexy beast By: Jayne Cosh

  2. Fire and IceBy: Robert Frost Some say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice. From what I've tasted of desire I hold with those who favor fire. But if it had to perish twice, I think I know enough of hate To say that for destruction ice Is also great And would suffice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDrUDrseThA&feature=related

  3. Why I like fire and ice I like fire and ice because it really makes one think about death, nature and natures destructive forces. Also, the imagery is fantastic and places such a vivid picture in ones mind that never fully leaves it.

  4. The Cow in Apple TimeBy: Robert Frost Something inspires the only cow of lateTo make no more of a wall than an open gate,And think no more of wall-builders than fools. Her face is flecked with pomace and she droolsA cider syrup. Having tasted fruit,She scorns a pasture withering to the root. She runs from tree to tree where lie and sweeten. The windfalls spiked with stubble and worm-eaten.She leaves them bitten when she has to fly.She bellows on a knoll against the sky.Her udder shrivels and the milk goes dry.

  5. Why I like the cow in apple time I like this poem because its about death and life and how no matter how much you want something even when its bad for you, you need to resist the temptation because it can kill you or, like the cow in this poem, it can ruin your life.

  6. The Last Word of a Bluebirdby: Robert Frost As told to a childAs I went out a CrowIn a low voice said, "Oh,I was looking for you.How do you do?I just came to tell youTo tell Lesley (will you?)That her little BluebirdWanted me to bring wordThat the north wind last nightThat made the stars brightAnd made ice on the troughAlmost made him coughHis tail feathers off.He just had to fly!But he sent her Good-by,And said to be good,And wear her red hood,And look for the skunk tracksIn the snow with an ax-And do everything! And perhaps in the springHe would come back and sing."

  7. Why I like the last word of a blue bird This was my favorite child hood poem, but I didn’t know what was about, and as I grew up I grew with this poems assistance. I understood more and more of what it meant and I began to contemplate how it was about growing up and love and loss and childhood friendships. Its also about how even when you lose someone, if they really love you they want you to be happy.

  8. The last word of a bluebirdby: Robert Frost The amusing rhyming creates an amusing tone. The rhyming in the following excerpt shows the amusing tone very well; “And made ice on the trough-Almost made him cough-His tail feathers off.”. This line also has amazing imagery, it makes a reader feel the chill of a winters day.

  9. Why Robert Frost is a modernist • He embraced imagery in all of his poems • He remained steadfastly aloof from any poetic movements or trends • He wrote many searching and dark poems on universal themes • He was very modern in the fact that he used language as it is actually spoken, not in a pretty version • He was very interested in writing physiologically complex poetry in which his work is infused with ambiguity and LOTS of irony

  10. PICTUAH TIME • I think this picture describes frost because it shows New England, the place where he grew up. Its also a scene that I feel he described frequently. It also is really • beautiful and
