  5. Summary This chapter was about a boy and his Grandfather and a lot of other people including his dog Searchlight. Grandfather got sick and Little Willy didn’t know until he didn’t wake up. Then Searchlight and Little Willy found Doc. Smith for help.

  17. Summary One day Little Willy got home from school. Little Willy opened the door and there was a guy with a handgun. He was the tax man who came to get the taxes. Little Willy’s grandfather had not been paying his taxes. The tax man said Grandfather had to pay $500.

  21. Summary In this chapter our main character, Little Willy, entered the dog sled race. Before that, Little Willy went to Mayor Smiley’s office and saw the poster for the dog sled race. Mr. Smiley thought Little Willy couldn’t win the race.

  37. Summary This chapter is about the beginning of the race. Little Willy and Searchlight were winning the race and Stone Fox started off dead last. Little Willy took a shortcut across the lake. The other racers did not attempt to cross the lake.She also wanted to win the race to help Grandfather to pay taxes. Little Willy and Searchlight were close to winning the race.
