  2. A measured building survey is a drawing that shows the structural features of the building. For example, the floor plan is part of one such drawing, and there are roof plans, elevations, and cross-sections infused in the drawing to make it more precise and accurate. A chartered building surveyor, who is a member of the RICS, needs to be hired to conduct the survey. While earlier, the survey was done manually using pencil and paper, today most surveyors use smart devices and advanced technology to do the same. Besides, using devices like tablets, they also use Bluetooth-enabled laser distance meters.
