  2. What accountants do. Accountants and auditors prepare and examine financial records. They ensure that financial records are accurate and that taxes are paid properly and on time. Accountants and auditors assess financial operations and work to help ensure that organizations run efficiently.

  3. Pay. The median wage of accountants and auditors was $61,690 in May 2010. The lowest ten percent earned less than $38,940 the top ten percent earned more than $106,880.

  4. Job outlook Employment of accountants is expected to grow 16 percent from 2010 to 2020, about as fast as the average for all occupations.

  5. How accountants use math. They use their math skills in recording or tallying their clients incomes and expenses . They will need them for taxes and payroll . They need to be able to gather and analyze past, present and future math numbers for all areas of their clients lives and businesses.

  6. All about myself. Hi my name is Autumn waters I am 11 years old and I love managing money. I would love to be an accountant because I would get to do what I love.
