  2. What is SEO / Search Engine Optimization? SEO process involves improving your website's ranking and visibility in search engines. The better the ranking and visibility of your pages in search results, the more likely your business is to attract attention and attract potential and existing customers. How does SEO work? Search engines such as Google and Bing use bots to crawl pages on the web, going from site to site, collecting information about those pages, and putting them in an index. If you think of the index like a big library, a librarian can pull up a book (or a web page) and find what you need. Next, algorithms analyze the index to determine the order in which pages should appear in the search results based on hundreds of ranking factors.
