  1. Renewing Your Mind Part 2

  2. Renewing Your Mind:For as he thinks in his heart, so is he, Proverbs 23:7 NKJV To BEGIN renewing your mind: 1. Take inventory of your thought life. 2. Which thoughts do you struggle with the most? 3. Use a truth to defeat a lie. 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, 2 Cor 10: 3-5 ESV

  3. Renewing Your Mind:For as he thinks in his heart, so is he, Proverbs 23:7 NKJV Our view of God impacts our thinking. 8 I keep the Lord before me always. Because he is close by my side, I will not be hurt. Psalm 16:8 NCV 2. God has given us responsibility for our thoughts. 15 “See, I have put in front of you today life and what is good, and death and what is bad. Deuteronomy 30:15 NCV

  4. Renewing Your Mind:For as he thinks in his heart, so is he, Proverbs 23:7 NKJV Knowing Him and Making Him Known. 5 I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done. Psalms 143:5 NIV 8-9 Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies. Philippians 4:8-9 The Message
