  2. Phylogenetic Tree • A branching diagram that shows the best current hypothesis of evolutionary relationships in a group. • *Sometimes called a cladogram

  3. From two greek words... • PHYLO- Gk. To bring forth • GENETIC-Gk. genea "generation, race" • SO, The phylogenetic tree shows us where the race was brought forth from.
