  1. Students Michael Ansel ’11 and Clark Kelly ’12 (L-R) take part in the SmartHome Integrated Design Challenge as part of the Fundamentals course. Michael’s robot sensed the speed and distance from the “Home’s” picoTubine. Clark’s measured the time of day by means of a sundial. Undergraduate Teaching Assistants play a vital and active role in the laboratories at Duke University in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Here, Danny Hyatt ’06 introduces the lab while student Bryan Fleming ’09 takes notes on a course provided Tablet PC. Students on Team Lead Pipe participate in the Clue semi-annual Integrated Design Challenge in the Fundamentals of Electrical and Computer Engineering course at Duke University.
