Awareness/Approach to Project Unique Project Issues - Maintenance of Traffic (Phase I) Stage I will consist of milling and resurfacing the existing lanes, construct the walls along the r/w line, construct the stormwater management facilities and conveyance systems to drain the pavement. Stage II will consist of removing the median curb and gutter and the placement of temporary asphalt. It will also include the placement of temporary pavement markings and shifting existing signal heads for Phase II. Awareness/Approach to Project Unique Project Issues - Maintenance of Traffic (Phase II) Stage I, northbound traffic will be shifted onto the temporary pavement and inner lanes, construct widening, sidewalks, drainage along the outside of the existing roadway. Stage II will consist of shifting traffic to the inside two lanes and shifting southbound traffic to the temporary pavement and inner lanes. Construct widening, sidewalk and drainage along the outside of the existing roadway, place signal foundations, mast arms and equipment; place the temporary pavement markings and final signage. Shift southbound traffic over inside two lanes, place remaining temporary pavement markings and shift existing signal heads for Phase III. Awareness/Approach to Project Unique Project Issues - Maintenance of Traffic (Phase III) Stage I will consist of shifting northbound traffic to the previously constructed outer lanes, remove temporary pavement constructed in the medians, place friction course and final pavement markings for the inside lanes. Construct, remove and replace remaining drainage construction in the median areas, complete construction of the median shoulders and ditches. Stage II will consist of shifting southbound traffic to the previously constructed outer lanes, remove temporary pavement from the medians, place friction course and final pavement markings for the inside lanes, construct, remove and replace the remaining median drainage, complete construction of the median shoulders and ditches.
