PROGRAMME ACTIVITIES 2004/2005 • EDMS Implementation • Language policy developed and implemented • Welcome and Greening campaigns run effectively • Establishment of the National Environment advisory Forum (NEAF) • Integration of sustainable development objectives in the government planning cycle (10 year vision and MTSF) • Hosting of the Sustainable Development Conference • Launching of the WSSD book. PROGRAMME ACTIVITIES 2004/2005 • Skills development, retention strategy and Employment Equity Plan implementation. • Strengthen Batho Pele – call centre, front desk improvement, service standards developed. • Develop a DEAT brand • Strategy to achieve 50% BEE procurement in DEAT • Procurement targets for Public Entities • Unqualified audit statement • Bursary and Internship programme Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism
