The Life Cycle of a Frog. Frogs lay their eggs in water. A female frog can lay many eggs. The group of eggs are called frogspawn. A tadpole grows inside each egg. The tadpole grows and leaves the egg. The tadpole now has gills to breathe.

Frogs lay their eggs in water. A female frog can lay many eggs. The group of eggs are called frogspawn.
The tadpole grows and leaves the egg. The tadpole now has gills to breathe.
Now, the frog’s front legs begin to grow, and it will start to look more like frog. • The frog no longer has gills. It has lungs to breathe. • The frog’s mouth begins to grow larger.
The frog is almost fully grown, but it still has a tail. • The frog can now move on land.
