  4. When we use the preposition a with verbs of motion such as ir or viajar, it means “to.” • Voy a escuela hoy. • I’m going to school today.

  5. Just as we say “going to” in English to talk about the future, we can use a form of Ir + a + infinitive in Spanish. • Voy a compraruna blusa. • I’m going to buy a blouse. • Vamos a cantaren la clase de música hoy. • We’re going to sing in music class today.

  6. Vamos a + infinitive means “let’s” • Vamos a bailar. • Let’s dance. • Vamos a ira la fiesta. • Let’s go to the party.

  7. Practice Vamos a comer. ¿Vas a ir a pie? María va al aeropuerto. La profesora va a llevar un sombrero.

  8. Las Respuestas Let’s eat. Are you going to go on foot? María is going to the airport. The teacher is going to wear a hat.
