  2. Get Fit With Lit! January 27th to March 2nd 2012 READ ACROSS AMERICA READING LITERACY INCENTIVE PROGRAM

  3. Whole School Reading Goal We want students to find more time to “exercise” their ability to enjoy reading.

  4. Join our “reading fitness” club! 2 We want all Birch Meadow students to help the school reach a goal of 200,000 minutes of reading enjoyment beyond the school day by March 2nd.

  5. Our school goal is possible. This reading challenge starts January 27th and ends March 2nd.

  6. Record Your Reading Your first reading log turned in to the school library starts your membership in The READ 200K Club Reading logs will be available at school and on the WIKI posted on the school’s Edline homepage.

  7. Tracking School Progress All of the classrooms have been registered on this website. After reading logs are turned in, classroom minutes will be recorded. Our School Reading Goal The website graphic says 100K, but our school reading goal is 200,000 reading minutes. http://www.scholastic.com/bookfairs/minutes/index.asp Teachers will be sharing classroom, grade level and school progress during the challenge.

  8. Math Question: How many reading logs need to be turned in to reach our READ 200K goal? 2,000 reading logs

  9. Individual Student Membership Goal Each student will determine how active they will strive to be in “The READ 200K Club”.

  10. Club Membership Awards! You can achieve “reading fitness” levels above the basic clubmembership. Question: Could someone be a 5000 READ CLUB member? Answer: Yes, if they were really motivated!

  11. Strive to Read More With the website’s reading calculator, you can decide what levels of club membership participation are possible for you.   15. Whole School Membership Goal We want to have 100% student participation this year!

  17. Everybody’s “gotta”… READ and turn in reading logs A participation meter in the school foyer will show us when our school has achieved our 100% student participation goal!
