ETTP Remaining Facilities D&D Project • 525 surplus facilities to be D&D at the ETTP. • Challenges presented early in the project with asbestos abatement. • - very costly • - very time consuming and labor intensive. • - higher injury rates (cuts, strains, heat stress) • Six Sigma Project established to find more efficient D&D method • - reduce the amount of asbestos removed from the buildings • - reduces risk due to challenges above.
