  1. How to Cosy up Your Beach Home for Winter

  2. How to Cosy up Your Beach Home for Winter Living by the coast is a year-round delight, especially when you decide to embrace that coastal feeling with the style and decor of your home. But when winter rolls around it’s not always easy to keep that beachy vibe whilst making the house, and everyone in it, nice and cosy. Here are some tried and true tips for warming up your coastal styled interior without muffling that light, bright and relaxing seaside aesthetic.

  3. Think Layers The most useful tip for cosying a coastal home is layering. More rugs on the floor. Big, thick bed covers. More blankets. And when you can’t layer your home any more, layer yourself!

  4. Cushions & Throws The couch is your best friend through the winter, so we’re giving it some extra attention. Change out any linen, cotton, or satin style cushions for something warmer like a soft knit or light coloured faux fur. For rugging up purposes, look for a thick oversized throw that you can cover yourself fully with - we don’t want any cold toes here!

  5. Windows Your light, breezy summer curtains look amazing, but they may not do much to keep cold out or heat in. Layer them with some block out curtains in a light shade to help the place feel (and be) a lot warmer.

  6. Colour Considerations If you keep your colour tones neutral, any cold-weather additions will work seamlessly with your existing light, bright seaside aesthetic. Think whites, greys, and beige, and don’t be afraid to add some pops of autumn-inspired colours.

  7. Stay Warm This Season! Feeling prepared to rug up and embrace the winter? Good! And just in case you’ve been reading this and dreaming of owning your own home by the coast - consider browsing some of the house and land packages at Atlantis Beach. With hot prices on coastal land, we’re bringing the Aussie dream of beachside living to more Australians than ever.
