Story Line • Dr Fred is your typical mad scientist character He lives in a mansion with his nurse Edna and his son Ed. • Twenty years ago, a meteor crashed near his mansion, and Dr Fred has been conducting weird experiments ever since. He is being controlled by an evil purple metor from out of space. You assume the role of a teenager called Dave. One of the good doctor's latest experiments involves Dave's girlfriend, Sandy, so naturally Dave decides to go and rescue her. He takes two of his buddies with him and heads for the mansion

  4. Players • Dave – Sandys boyfriend • Razor – In a rock in roll band, plays music • Benard – The nerd • Syd – Musician, works with keyboards & guitars • Wendy- The writer • Jeff – The surfer guy • Michael – The photographer

  5. User Interface • Point and click game • Use cursor to: • Move around the different rooms in mansion • Click on any of the verbs listed in the white at bottom to go with any objects in room or listed in yellow • Switch to New Kid to manipulate

Game summary • Scoring – There is no scoring system for the game, the object of game is to rescue Sandy from Dr. Fred • Sound and Music – Each player carries a cd player with them playing different music in the background. • Sound effects to certain objects, such as turning on tv or breaking a glass • Different music played within each cut scene

  7. Special Features • Has 7+ multiple Endings • Depending on the 2 players you choose in the beginning • Depending on if you kill a player • Depends on what you do in the mansion Ending #1 Blow up the mansion and kill everyone

  14. Game Review • What is Good? • Has good story plot • High replay value since there is multiple solutions • What is Bad? • The monotony of pointing and clicking everywhere , other than that Awesome

Game Review (con.) • Compare to other games in genre? • First game to feature a point and click interface with animated characters • Appropriate Audience? • Age group 11+ for NES version • Any other version containing: • Nurse Eda Sexually explicit comments • Blowing up animals .. Age group 15+

  16. Summary • Overall Strengths • Multiple ways the game can be won • Different objects cannot be used unless certain characters are chosen making replay value high Overall Weaknesses • None, except maybe better graphics Conclusion – Purchase and play the game!
