  2. Essential Jesus Project 20 weeks of Bible readings 5 readings a week Small group discussion Sunday sermons a joint venture between the Bible Society, Scripture Union, Wycliffe Bible Translators and Radio Rhema 2010 E100 Project involved 25,000 Kiwis from 350 churches

  7. Why dont Christians read the Bible as often as we would expect? Cultural factors: • Less reading • Changing use of Bible in church • Suspicion of big picture story/integrated truth system • Transformation takes time in an instant society Personal factors: • Busy lifestyles • Difficult to understand and apply
