  2. Overall Mission To support students in their love and discovery for reading by introducing them to quality literature and to develop friendships between students based upon socialization, competition and mutual respect with the intention of creating literacy and the enjoyment of reading.

Your Role • You are how this program happens! • We appreciate you! • You role is to lead your group, get them ready for 4/1 Battle. • Help make it fun • Schedule and lead book discussions (format and frequency is up to you) • Practice periodically with sample questions • Be present on 4/1 to assist your team

  5. Your Team Name & Color • Team T-Shirts are not mandatory • You may come up with a creative team name, but it must incorporate your color • Example: “Rockin’ Red Readers”

  6. Things You Need • Your roster • Book list • FAQs • Schedule • 6 months duration • Battle Date: 4/1
