  1. How to Reformat a Lenovo Laptop?

  2. Reformatting the hard drive of your laptop is good to make a fresh start on your device. This process erases all the data on the hard drive, including the operating system. But you can’t reformat a disk with windows installed on your system and while it is running which means it does not allow users to format disk or disk partitions that are in use. So it makes impossible to perform it on your laptop.

  3. But not to worry, Lenovo Technical Support Australiateam is here with the complete procedure through which you can reformat your hard drive easily without applying any condition. Just go through the below steps properly.

  4. Open your device and insert windows installation CD in the disk drive and restart your laptop. • when you will see a message ‘Press any key to boot from CD’ then press a key. It will start the installation process. • Now follow up on-screen instructions until you get to the ‘Where do you want to install window?’ display and then click on the ‘Drive options(advanced)’ link above the Next button. • After that, choose any partition you want to delete if your hard drive is partitioned and then click on ‘Delete’ button. Now give your confirmation to proceed and wait for the deletion before continuing. If you want to delete any other partition then repeat this steps.

  5. Now select the partition you want to format and click on the Format link in advanced options. • For quick formatting, select ‘Quick format’ as the formatting type and ‘NTFS’ as the file format and then click OK. • Now further you can continue with the window installation or exit the process.

  6. If the above procedure is not clear to you and you want more detailed assistance regarding it, then immediately contact us via our toll-free Lenovo Support Number and our technicians will guide you through the whole procedure stepwise with a suitable solution.
