  3. IRR Funding • Not simple cash • Contract Authority and Limitation required • Contract Authority provided through highway authorizations • FY05 - FY09 provided by SAFETEA-LU • Limitation through DOT Appropriations • Annually

  4. Funding Status FY05’ and 06’ • IRR funds….Received Carryover for FY 05’ back from FHWA • FY06’ Tribal Shares being finalized for IRR • All of road maintenance funds with the exception of $100k emergency funds have been distributed (note: We need to revisit the ERO distribution Plan)

  5. SAFETEA-LU • Tribes contracting with FHWA • IRR funds available for Road Maintenance • IRR funds available for Transportation Planning • Presentation later in meeting from Monica Gordine of FHWA

  6. SAFTEA-LU • FINAL BILL • FY05 – $300,000,000 • FY06 – $330,000,000 • FY07 – $370,000,000 • FY08 – $410,000,000 • FY09 –$450,000,000 • Total $1,860,000,000 • Including FY 04 • TOTAL - $2,135,000,000

  7. Inventory Updates • ERO received updates for FY06 from: • Penobscott Nation • Seneca Nation • Seminole of Florida • Aroostook Band of Micmacs • Mashantucket Pequot • Tunica Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana • Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana

  8. Inventory Cont’d • Comments are currently going out to Tribes……deadline May 15 • Tribes need to make corrections and return to ERO by June 15 • ERO finalizes and inputs into RIFDS by July 15

  9. Inventory Cont’d • Note: Roads entered into inventory in the current year will not be eligible for TIP or contracts until the following year….if approved

  10. Coordinating Committee • Local CC representative is Clint Hill of the Oneida Nation • Appointment will expire in 2007 • Meetings are open to public and are held semi-annually
