  2. Important Information Purpose AnimalstoObserve The purpose of this field trip is to better understand animal behavior, habitat, diet, status, and physical characteristics. We will split up into groups of five and spend our time at the zoo observing a specific animal. I will take notes of what the animals are doing, what they are eating, what they look like, and any other information I find out about them. I will use the information I find to help me write a research report about my animal. • Date: • 10/17/2010 • Time: • Bus departure - 7:30 a.m. • Arrival at zoo – 9:30 a.m. • Lunch – 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. • Bus departure – 3:30 p.m. • Arrival at school – 5:30 p.m. • Bring: • Notebook • Pencil/pen • Cold lunch • Stop watch • Warm clothes • Camera • Lunch: • We will be meeting at the • front entrance for lunch. • King Penguin • Ring-tailed Lemur • Western Lowland gorilla • North American River Otter • African Elephant • African Lion • Orangutan http://school.discoveryeducation.com/clipart/images/pencil_color.gif http://www.clker.com/clipart-15922.html http://www.asergeev.com/pictures/archives/2005/438/jpeg/16.jpg
