  2. India has one of the most wide cultural diversity in the world. One of the cities where this diversity can be experienced is Mumbai. The culture of Mumbai is a diverse one with a blend of different food and traditional festivals. The diverse lifestyle of the city offers a variety of food and entertainment. The local and unique cuisines of the city have become a major attraction among tourists. They are liked and cherished by locals, travellers and outsiders alike. While travelling or relocating, good food defines the experience overall.

  3. Mumbai offers variety great cuisines along with all the other good things it possesses. Some of the local cuisines that are associated with different communities of Mumbai are as follows: Dine with Kolis – Historically, Kolis are an ethnic group native to west India, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. The Kolis of Mumbai are the original inhabitants of the city. They have a rich history as the aboriginal fishing community. They have a seafood-rich diet and Dine with Kolis lets you experience the eating habits of Kolis which takes place in Kolava.

  4. Pathare Prabhu Seafood – Like Kolis, Pathare Prabhu are one of the oldest inhabitants of the city Mumbai. They too hold a special position in the history of the great city. Pathare Prabhus are famous for their delicacies. • The Pathare Prabhu seafood cuisine consists of mainly seafood, some of the dishes being Kolumbi Cha Lonche, Kolumbi Cha Kaalvan (both being variations of dish made with prawns) and SarangyachaBhujna which is prepared with silver Pomfret served with rice and chapatti.

  5. Bohri Thaal – Bohr is are a Gujarati Muslim community and are an integral part of Mumbai. There were no restaurant in Mumbai that would specialise in Bohri cuisine until recently. Bohri thaal can be found at some place in Bhendi Bazaar. • A large thaal is placed at middle and diners are to sit on ground surrounding the thaal. The meal is to be eaten the same thaal. KheemaSamosa, Phirni and Shahi Biryani are just to name a few of components of the whole thaal. The above mentioned cuisines could need you to travel to enjoy it, but it surely is worth it.
