  1. Steps of Replacing a Car Windscreen As this season approaches, make sure that you check the car window screens as well as your auto glass by yourself and get it checked by an expert as well. Experts say that to make sure that chipping does not weaken the component, make sure that you cover it immediately with sticky tape, which will prevent dirt from getting into the chip.

  2. Detach Parts • Before replacing, the first step includes removing any parts that could get in the way. • This will involve everything like wipers and rear-view mirrors and others. • It is recommended to cover up the heater and air vents with masking tape and newspaper to prevent small objects from falling into them

Check the Rubber • The next step involves checking the rubber around the screen to make sure that it is not damaged at all. • If it is cracked, withered or damaged, you’ll first have to chance it and then proceed with the auto glass replacement task. • This can be done easily by running a flat knife or a screwdriver around the frame to lift it away from the windscreen
