The Senior Energy Monitors, alongside Lynne Humphries from Groundwork Cheshire and Mrs. Robinson, have been actively measuring energy usage in classrooms. Before half-term, we recorded temperature readings in three classrooms, averaging 18.5°C, 19.3°C, and 21.2°C. The recommended classroom temperature is 18°C. During our lunchtime walk, we observed many lights left on and blinds closed, which affect energy efficiency. We also noted the importance of turning off computers. Join us for Switch Off Week, from March 26th to 30th, to promote energy-saving habits among students!
