  3. Local Area Info What is the nature of the environment? flora/fauna, history, points of interest, indigenous information. Considerations of the area i.e. high use shipping area, boating rules. Any other specific hazards? Permits required? Emergency services - Local hospital info? Launching and landing area Car park

  4. Float Plan Should Include • Participant/Instructor Information • Vehicle and transport information • Departure and destination points • Times and distances • Equipment carried – comms and safety equipment • Tides • Emergency services, and Emergency contacts (school)
