  1. Le passé composé des verbesréfléchis

  2. Remember, you form the passé composé with a helping verb and a past participle. • You have used être and avoir as your helping verbs. • How do you form the past participle?

  3. The reflexive verbs will use être as their helping verb. • Since they use être, the past participle will agree with the subject – as long as the reflexive pronoun is the direct object.

  4. When you say: I am washing: • Je me lave. • The “me “ is the direct object. • When you say I washed my hair: • Je me lave les cheveux. • Your hair is the direct object and so the “me” is the indirect so there is not agreement.

  5. They shaved. (m) • Ils se sontrasés. • We got ready. • Nous noussommespréparés. • She fell asleep • Elle s’estendormie.

  6. Now, let’s do some with the indirect object so you won’t make any agreement.

  7. You all brushed your teeth. • Vousvousêtesbrossé les dents. • I dried my hair. • Je me suisséché les cheveux. • My mom shaved her legs. • Ma mères’estrasé les jambes.
