  2. Bronchitis • Bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchial tubes of the lungs

  3. Causes and symptoms • Causes: breathing in dust or toxic air, smoking, and viruses • Symptoms: cough, fever, and discomfort in the chest

  4. Treatment • Over the counter cough and cold medicine, or a yearly flu vaccination • Antibiotics will not help for bronchitis, because it is a virus • Avoid smoke, and dusty areas

  5. Recovery • Drinking fluids, cough drops, and cough medicine. • If untreated it can lead to chronic bronchitis.
