POST-INDUSTRIAL CHANGES: • More technology, convenience • Better, more universal education • More suffrage (esp. women) • Class mobility • Rising Standard of Living (developed countries) • City planning • Movement from laissez-faire to utilitarian government administration (all levels) • Rise of reactionary philosophies: socialism, Marxism, Communism • Improving working conditions (esp. safety) • Rising economies, GDP

POST-INDUSTRIAL CHANGES: • Increased militarization • Imperialism • More violent, larger wars & international conflict • Rising global population • Depleting Resources • Environmental Degradation (deforestation, extinction, habitat destruction) • Pollution (air, water, land) • Massive urbanization • Rise of corporations, corporate control of economies, politics, culture
