  4. Eve Story told in Genesis 1-4 RECORD: By her actions, Eve helped bring sin into the world. As a result, she was the first to experience the pain of childbirth and the tragedy of family violence. Eve was the first mother to bury a child.

  5. Rebekah Story told in Genesis 22-49 RECORD: Rebekah’s mothering style left much to be desired. She manipulated her husband Isaac for the benefit of her favorite son, Jacob.

  6. Jochebed Story told in Exodus 1-2:8, Numbers 26:59 RECORD: The story of Moses reminds us of how God can use a mom’s determination and love to overcome all odds.

  7. Bathsheba Story told in II Samuel 11-12, I Kings 1-2 RECORD: Bathsheba and David’s sin is detailed in Scripture, but we do not know how she felt about their affair. Yet, out of this sin, the wisest man in the world was born.
