  3. Independent Vs Dependent Variables • Independent Variables are the things you are changing in an experiment. • The dependent variable changes as a result of changing the independent.

  4. Independent Vs Dependent Variables • EXAMPLE: If I change the amount of water a plant receives, the height of the pant will change. • The independent variable is the water, because we are changing it. • The dependent variable is the height of the plant, because it is affected by the water.

  5. Worksheet • At the bottom of your worksheet, write in your independent and dependent variable you are using in your science project.
