  1. William J. Treadway, Jr. received a B.S. in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1972. He received a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Biophysics from Loyola University of Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine in 1976. After three years of postdoctoral research as a National Institute of Health trainee he accepted an academic appointment to the faculty of Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He spent three years there rising to the rank of Assistant Professor of Medicine. He is currently a Professor of Biochemistry and Chemistry at Parkland College. His tenure includes over 22 years of experience in the field of Chemical Education including numerous presentations involving computer-oriented, high-tech applications for the improvement of teaching general chemistry in lecture and laboratory situations.
