  4. SAINT MARTIN 86 Km2 En 1648, l’île de Saint-Martin n’était occupée que par quatre Français et cinq Hollandais. Le 23 mars de la même année, les Français et les Hollandais réglèrent le problème de leur «souveraineté nationale» par la signature du Traité du mont des Accords (Concordia). Ils se partagèrent l’île en deux parties: les Français occupèrent la partie nord (52km²), les Hollandais, la partie sud (34km²). Dans l’accord de 1648, il était convenu d’assurer la libre circulation des habitants sur toute l’île. (L’union européenne 300 ans avant !) Toutes les dispositions de 1648 sont demeurées en vigueur jusqu’à aujourd’hui.

  6. NOTE Before the arrival of C.C Saint Martin was know under the name of Souliga or Walichi that was the name of the island given by the Arawaks Why soualiga ? Because the island is know for her salt lagoon for the number of 10, in the second world war Saint Martin was the main producer of salt for France army during the war, after the end of the war the France stop bye salt in Saint Martin, during the war Saint Martin felt a poverty crisis. Saint Martin have 3 different currency the guildon, the U.S dollar and the Euro , the $ and euro are spend on both side with no difficulty, there are change point on the island to change $ in Euro

Tourism are the main economic section of the island, and generate A lot of jobs and places, in 1995 two hurricane destroyed the Island They were named Luis and Marylin destroyed almost all the building Boat harbor, hotel, house, landand the people many had disappear In this hurricane

Interculturality The educational system of the French republic doesn’t take in account The interculturality in the program, to help the future generation to know each other with no difference felt, in our school Children spoke more than 5 languages every day, and more Than 80 nationality are present , even if the system doesn’t recognize That, there is some teachers that recognize this fact and put in place The eurocaraibeen class which comprise to have class section in English Or Spanish instead of French (Math class are in Spanish and history in English which is very rewarding for the youth. There is also class in Creol of Guadeloupe which is the language of the slaves in the Caribeen (Guadeloupe, Martinque, Jamaica, Dominica, Saint Martin, Tobago, Saint Lucie, Haiiti etc...)
