Case 1. Zubair W. Baloch, MD, PhD. Case History. 14-year-old girl presented with an enlarging 3.0 cm right thyroid mass. An FNA was performed which was interpreted as “papillary carcinoma”. She underwent total thyroidectomy. FNA. Cytologic Diagnosis. Total Thyroidectomy.

Case History 14-year-old girl presented with an enlarging 3.0 cm right thyroid mass. An FNA was performed which was interpreted as “papillary carcinoma”. She underwent total thyroidectomy.

Case 2 40-year-old hypothyroid woman who is on thyroid replacement developed a 1.6 cm nodule which was partially cystic on ultrasound. An FNA was performed which was diagnosed as “Hashimoto’s thyroiditis”.
Due to clinical and ultrasound features a lobectomy was performed.

Case 3 • 60-year-old man with history of angio-invasive papillary carcinoma • 8-months post-op presented with slightly elevated serum thyroglobulin • US showed a 0.6 cm para-tracheal lymph node
