  5. Fruitless Useless. Ben is useless when it comes to work. Use-less

  6. Internment State of being interned. Japanese- Americans went to internment camps. Think of these to remember.

  7. Hostility Dislike shown towards somebody. This man shows hostility by yelling. HOSTILity

  8. Subordinate Placed in or belong to a lower rank. The man was subordinate to the captain.

  9. Aggravated Angered, annoyed. Teachers can get aggravated when students talk.

  10. Intangible Incapable of being perceived. The ninja could not be perceived.

  11. Promenade Walking space. There was a promenade by the sea.

  12. Pacify To calm. Babies use pacifiers to pacify and stay quiet and calm.

  13. Oblivion Being completely forgotten or unknown. The big murder story was oblivion after a month or so had gone by.

  14. Sustenance Means of sustaining life. Doctors have sustenance.

  15. Subdued To quiet. Dogs have muzzles to stay subdued.

  16. Lethargy State of being drowsy or dull. The team was in lethargy after a tough game.

  17. Assented Agreed or concurred. The countries assented to make the peace treaty.

  18. capitulate To surrender unconditionally. The countries soldiers mostly capitulated.

  19. Assertive Confidently aggressive or self-assured. The man was assertive to stand up against the bully.

  20. Authentic Not false or copied. The soccer jersey was authentic.
